Optimizer Inc. ("we," "our," or "Optimizer") operates the Optimizer platform and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services. It applies to users in the United States (including California), the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. By using our service, you agree to the practices described here.
What we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and sign-in: When you create an account or sign in (including with Google), we collect name, email address, and profile image. If you use the service as a guest, we may create an anonymous account with a temporary email identifier until you sign up.
- Usage and content: URLs you submit for analysis, chat messages, business and website data you add (e.g. business name, address, services), and analysis results we generate and store.
- Automatically collected: IP address, browser type and version, device information, and server logs when you access our service.
- Cookies and similar tech: Session cookies (to keep you signed in), and a preference cookie for sidebar state. We may use analytics (see Cookies below).
How we use it
We use your information to provide and improve the service, run analyses, personalize your experience, communicate with you, enforce our terms, protect security, and comply with legal obligations.
Legal basis (International users)
For users in the EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions that require a lawful basis: we process your data based on (1) performance of our contract with you, (2) your consent where we ask for it, (3) our legitimate interests (e.g. security, product improvement), and (4) legal obligation where applicable.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the service:
- Google: Sign-in (OAuth), PageSpeed Insights, Places API, Maps (where used), and Google Analytics when enabled.
- OpenAI: Chat and content extraction for analysis.
- Vercel: Hosting, Vercel Analytics, and AI Gateway.
- Serper: Business lookup via search.
- Browserless: Screenshot capture for analysis.
- Resend: Transactional email when configured.
- Better Auth: Authentication and session management.
These providers are bound by contracts and use data only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and a preference cookie (e.g. sidebar state). When Google Analytics or Vercel Analytics is enabled, we use analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain some data after account closure for legal, security, or compliance reasons. We may anonymize or delete data in line with our internal policies.

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your personal information, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising), the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
International (e.g. EEA, UK)
You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict processing, object, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

California addendum
For California residents, the following summarizes personal information we have collected in the past 12 months, the sources, and our business purposes. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose the categories below to service providers for business purposes (e.g. hosting, analytics, authentication).
- Identifiers: Name, email, IP address, unique identifiers. Sources: you, your device, authentication providers. Purposes: account, service delivery, security, support.
- Commercial / usage: URLs analyzed, chat content, business/website data. Sources: you. Purposes: provide analysis and recommendations.
- Internet/network: Browsing history on our site, device info. Sources: automatic. Purposes: operation, security, analytics.

International addendum
If you are in the EEA, UK, or elsewhere outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
