Introduction

Optimizer Team, Inc., a Delaware C Corporation("we," "our," or "Optimizer.team") operates the Optimizer.team platform and related services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services. It applies to users in the United States (including California), the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. By using our service, you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account and sign-in: When you create an account or sign in (including with Google), we collect name, email address, and profile image. If you use the service as a guest, we may create an anonymous account with a temporary email identifier until you sign up.
• Usage and content: URLs you submit for analysis, chat messages, business and website data you add (e.g. business name, address, services), and analysis results we generate and store.
• Connected Google account data: If you connect Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or your Google Business Profile, we access read-only data from those accounts (traffic and engagement metrics, search performance, and business profile information and performance) to power your reports. See Google user data below.
• Automatically collected: IP address, browser type and version, device information, and server logs when you access our service.
• Cookies and similar tech: Session cookies (to keep you signed in) and a preference cookie for sidebar state, and — only if you accept them in our cookie banner — analytics and advertising cookies (see Cookies below).

How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve the service, run analyses, personalize your experience, communicate with you, enforce our terms, protect security, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal basis (International users)

For users in the EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions that require a lawful basis: we process your data based on (1) performance of our contract with you, (2) your consent where we ask for it, (3) our legitimate interests (e.g. security, product improvement), and (4) legal obligation where applicable.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers that help us operate the service, and — only if you accept advertising cookies — with the advertising partner noted below:

• Google: Sign-in (OAuth), PageSpeed Insights, Places API, Maps (where used), and Google Analytics when enabled.
• OpenAI: Chat and content extraction for analysis.
• Vercel: Hosting, Vercel Analytics, and AI Gateway.
• Serper: Business lookup via search.
• Browserless: Screenshot capture for analysis.
• Resend: Transactional email when configured.
• Better Auth: Authentication and session management.
• Meta Platforms (Facebook / Instagram): If you accept advertising cookies, we share limited advertising and conversion data with Meta — a hashed (irreversible) version of your email, your IP address, and actions you take on our site such as running an audit or signing up — through the Meta Pixel (in your browser) and the Meta Conversions API (from our server), so we can measure and improve our ads. This is the one partner we use for advertising rather than to operate the service; decline in the cookie banner and none of it is sent.

These providers are bound by contracts and use data only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

Google user data

When you connect Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or your Google Business Profile, you authorize Optimizer.team — through Google OAuth — to access specific data from those accounts:

• Google Analytics — read-only traffic and engagement metrics for the property you select (scope analytics.readonly).
• Google Search Console — read-only search performance data (clicks, impressions, average position, and queries) for your verified sites (scope webmasters.readonly).
• Google Business Profile — your business locations, profile information, and profile performance metrics (scope business.manage).

We use this data solely to provide the visibility analysis, reporting, and recommendations you request within Optimizer.team. We store it associated with your account and website for as long as the connection is active. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed above that operate our platform on our behalf. You can disconnect any Google source at any time from within the app, which stops further access; you may also contact us to delete data we have already synced.

Optimizer.team's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged in and remember preferences (e.g. sidebar state); these are always on. With your consent, we also set analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) to understand usage, and advertising cookies — the Meta Pixel (e.g. _fbp and _fbc) — to measure and improve our ads. Advertising cookies load only after you choose Accept in our cookie banner; choose Decline to opt out. You can change your choice or clear these cookies through your browser at any time.

Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain some data after account closure for legal, security, or compliance reasons. We may anonymize or delete data in line with our internal policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your personal information, the right to correct inaccuracies, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information (we do not sell your personal information; we "share" a hashed email, IP address, and on-site activity with Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising only if you accept advertising cookies — declining in our cookie banner opts you out), the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

International (e.g. EEA, UK)

You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict processing, object, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

California addendum

For California residents, the following summarizes personal information we have collected in the past 12 months, the sources, and our business purposes. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose the categories below to service providers for business purposes (e.g. hosting, analytics, authentication). If you accept advertising cookies, we also "share" Identifiers (hashed email, IP address) and Internet/network activity with Meta for cross-context behavioral advertising; declining in our cookie banner opts you out.

• Identifiers: Name, email, IP address, unique identifiers. Sources: you, your device, authentication providers. Purposes: account, service delivery, security, support.
• Commercial / usage: URLs analyzed, chat content, business/website data. Sources: you. Purposes: provide analysis and recommendations.
• Internet/network: Browsing history on our site, device info. Sources: automatic. Purposes: operation, security, analytics.

International addendum

If you are in the EEA, UK, or elsewhere outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. contracts, adequacy decisions) where required. You may exercise your rights by contacting us at hello@optimizer.team. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
